**Spinoff to introducing solids
I will be starting solids with my 4 month DS as well. My question is, how long after you started cereal did you introduce veggies/fruits?

We skipped cereal, but I think according to my doctors shedule fruits and vegetable would have started the following month?

we started at the same time - we mixed fruit into the cereal, as per our ped's recommendation.

I did cereal at 4, veggies at 5 and fruits at almost 6.
I wanted her to like her veggies and she sure does!

Same with us! We mixed the cereal in with the fruit at about 5 months.

I started cereal at 4 months. He was not eating it(thought he didn't know how but he just didn't like it) so I introduced fruits two weeks later and he went to town.

Our ped told us that we had to see if he could tolerate cereall for 2 week prior to starting anything else with it. I find it interesting how all peditricians feel differently on certain subjects.

Our ped told us to start with rice cereal for a few days then oatmeal, then Barley. She then mentioned moving on to veggies and fruits.

I started rice cereal just before 6 months. I fed him cereal for 4 days and then moved onto mashed bananas. I gave him a fruit or vegetable for 3-4 days before moving to a new food.

we started after 1 week of cereal....i started the cereal a week before DD was 4 months old, then at her 4 month check up, the doctor said to start the veggies too, then fruit also
