Spinoff to long hair on boys/men...
Not for nothing, but I'm sure I'm not the only one with a DH/FH/boyfriend whatever who may have long hair...
I don't get offended easily, and I'm still not offended, but reading over and over again how disgusting and ugly and nasty, etc. long hair on men is - don't you think there are women on here who have boys with long hair, and men with long hair?
I think its just a little harsh... Everyone has an opinion, but still.... 
Just thought I'd share... no flames, no drama... just my opinion as well!

My DH does not have long hair, but I wanted to tell you that there are times on here where people hate something that I love or have (like your DH with long hair) and you know what? That makes me happy because that means I am not the norm, I am different! I dont know about you but that makes me smile. Other people dont like long hair but they didnt marry your DH, so they dont have to live with it! Dont let it bother you.

No - I totally agree with you - please, my family tells me everyday they hate my husband's hair! They ask me if Cailen will have long hair too...
It didn't bother me, but it's not like long hair is that unusual, you know? So many men have long hair, that I did think ti was funny that it had such a strong reaction...
I saw the pic of Celine's son, that is just not attractive at all, but there are LOTS of cute boys with long hair, and planty of hot men with long hair (like my DH!  )
There are so many things that I love that don't fit the norm, so I'm used to it... I was just thinking it may be a bit harsh for other women who may be with a long haired man.... But I doubt I'll lose any sleep over it.
I lose enough sleep as it is with my 8 wk old son!!!

I didn't read the entire post on long hair on boys.
It's occurred to me that people on her have sons/DHs/SOs with long hair. It's not for me.
I always dated the preppy/jock guys in high school & college. That was my preference.
My twin always preferred the long haired guys. David Lee Roth (VAN HALEN ROTH) was plastered all over our room.
I wouldn't care if someone picked a feature of my DH & said they thought it was nasty. As long as I like it, that's all that matters. Well, the farting thing I agree with.
I think it would only bother someone if they were in a position where they weren't sure about it, were constantly asked to defend it or if it bothered them.
No offense was meant.

when i was in high school i had a boyfriend w/ very long hair, he played the guitar and i thought it was so cool!
his hair was much longer than mine.

The most beautiful head of long hair I have ever seen was on a guy. I was at the beach and this guy came walking by with hair down to his waist. It was straight, shiny and the most awesome shade of red I have ever seen. That was a long time ago and I have yet, to this day, seen a head of hair like that on either a man or a woman.

I am sorry if any of my comments were interpreted as offensive. To say that a style is disgusting isn't nice. I can't be mean like that.
I have my preference as to what I like on little boys, but the bottom line for me is as long as hair is neat and clean, go for it.

I haven't read the long hair thread, but I always liked longer hair on guys. DH had longer hair before I met him and now it is short. I keep telling him to grow it long again!

it's not right to make blanket statements like that about "boys/men with long hair".
I like many things out of the norm also, that's what makes us who we are.

I was gonna say, my husband wishes he could grow his hair long. I don't know if he really would, but he would love to have the ability!!!!
I hate when people comment about men with earriings. Most guys I dated had them and I used to hear a lot of comments from people who didn't know that I was dating a guy with one (usually it was just one earring). DH won't get one, though.

Last week when I took my son to his JW Tumbles class there was a little boy that I mistook for a girl. He had long blond hair, half up half down pony tail. I kept saying John let the little girl go, give the little girl the ball and finally the mother said, excuse me thats my son. I apologized but come on, it really looked like a little girl. I dont mind long hair on a man (although not my taste) as long as its kept neat. But long hair on a little boy like KAte Hudson's or Celine Dion's sons is just wrong

OMG - that is REALLY funny!!!
Thats insane... Honestly, I am always going to make sure Cailen looks like a boy. Its bad enough when I dress him head to toe in blue, and people hear his name and assume he's a girl.... I don't need to seal the deal with a head of long lustrous hair!

Cmon now...this is like any other thread....People have two opinions usually...love it or hate it...and are gonna be opinionated about either way.
I hate long hair on guys and my opinion is it looks nasty...but why would anyoen on here care what I THINK about their mans hair?? Hes not my man, I dont have to look at it....

My son had a ton of hair when he was born. When he was about 5 weeks old DH & I took him to the mall. Head to toe in blue. This woman stopped to say how cute SHE was I said its a he, she said oh I thought girl because of all the hair

Hey wedding date twin! You've probably seen pics of my DH, and he has long hair just like yours. About the same length and thickness (and its way nicer than my hair). So you're not alone. I don't see the big deal either. I think its the facial features that dictate masculinity and not the hairstyle (for above the neck that is! )
