For one's self, "hotness" is a state of mind. I have been very heavy and I have been thin - I never felt "hot". HOWEVER I have been perceived by others as hot with both body types.

hotness is a sex thing. not a pretty thing. Hot is someone you want to sleeop with...sometimes you don't even know why.
and that happens at any weight.
I totally agree with this. There are some guys that I have been attracted to in the past (and even now) that were not “traditionally” hot or good looking- but there was something about them that made them attractive and very sexy to me. I think personality has so much to do with it…..

I was thinking the same thing.
to answer the post, I think you can be slim and not carry yourself or dress flattering, and be overweight and look gorgeous know how to carry yourself, what to wear, etc.
it's a lot more than the numbers on the scale, i think. 
am I justifying these extra pounds I got?
