After how many years married do people tend to do this?

The couples I know who did it, renewed at seven and 20 years.
The couple who renewed at seven years had eloped and later had a big renewal ceremony and reception. Big. As in white gown, bridesmaids, flower girls, first dances, parent dances, bouquet tosses, cake cutting -- the works. I thought it was nice, but odd and not at all what I expected.
I wasn't able to make it to the other couple's ceremony.

some people do it every year. i guess there really isnt any specific year but i always thought it was after 25 years.

my parents did theirs in italy at 25 years - it was nice bc all of us kids could participate

We are thinking of doing it after 5 years.
I was thinking for our 5th anniversary - that way, Cailen (and hopefully one more!!!) could be there!

my best friend was going to do a vow renewal in ireland for their 5 year anniversary, but then life got in the way.

Most people do it for the big ones like 25 or 50.

My church does it on the Sunday closest to Valentine's day. Any couple celebrating their 1st year or multiples of 5 can come around the altar as a group and renew their vows.
