Spinoff to weddings... If I could have changed one thing about my wedding, I would have....
What would you have done differently?
I would have had a small wedding on the beach.
I'm thinking of us renewing our vows and doing that so we can have it on the beach....

Wedding planning with my family was a nightmare. I cried everyday. I wish I could do it again and not have involved them....

Invited a very god friend of the family to my wedding & to participate at my service as he is a priest. I made a huge mistake here.

Omitted a few people from my bridal party.
Had a smaller wedding- perhaps a destination wedding.
Went less nutso spending tons of money on invites, favors & stuff like that
Hired a different photographer.
Wore my hair down.
Went to a different salon for my hair/makeup

Had only my sisters as bridesmaid and not cheap out and spent more money for a better photographer.

I would have added one more friend in as a Bridesmaid.
Probably chose a better video guy.
Other than that, would not have changed a thing. I loved every single moment.

Nothing! Everything was perfect!
Well, if I HAD to name something I would have asked for additional bartenders because there were long lines by the bars all nite. And I maybe would have done a different bustle.

hired a different photographer--that man STILL makes me and DH angry when we think about it!
asked a close friend and 2 other cousins to be in my bridal party--it makes me so sad that i didn't ask this friend and now she's no longer with us
kept the same florist but used different flowers in my boquet

I would have spent more time with my Dad and his family the day before the wedding
I wuld have used Webbers flowers or Mimi from the grand instead of that nutcase Beth that did not give me what I wanted.......HUGE sore spot for me. I HATED my flowers
I would have been more specific with my hair...Hated my hair
I would have picked a different dress...It was nice but not THE dress
I would have ate some cake It was awsome but I only had 1 bite for pictures and when we cut it.
I would have stayed with Joe the night before the wedding
I might have changed locations to Traverse City instead of Mackinac Island or maybe eloped to Alaska

This is crazy, but I wish I had the job I have NOW back THEN...simply because I would have had more money to splurge on things like flowers, photos, video, etc.
And the only other thing -- I wish I chatted more with the old folks tables. I didn't walk the tables (300 guests!) but caught up with everyone...however I wished I made sure it chat them up more than I did.
Other than that, perfection!

Different dress...I just feel it didn't really photograph well. So plain, like a white sheet.
And I wish I would have gone with a hairstylist that specialized in wedding hair, instead of going with loyalty.
Oh...and I would have sang something at the reception. I'll never forget how sad I felt the day after the wedding when DH said he was disappointed I didn't.

not too much...
maybe a different photographer. he did a good job with the pictures, BUT the way he gave us our proofs was so stupid! he gave us a slideshow where you couldn't pause it to really look at the pics and choose the ones for the album. he also gave us a "book" which was basically just the thumbnails of the pics! WAY too small to really be able to look at them. granted, i should have known what questions to ask when i booked him... but it was just annoying and i ended up paying him $500 like a year later for the full res copies on a DVD. oh well-- hes just lucky i was happy with the pics!!
2) i might have done a sit down dinner instead of a buffet. everybody liked the buffet and that they could get a little bit of everything and not be stuck with one choice... but after going to our friends weddings i just feel like the sit down dinner is just a little bit more formal and elegant.
so nothing too major  it was an amazing, fun day!

I was about the post the same exact thing. 
As we got married at the RH, I would have either extended my CH another hour or taken pictures before we were married.
I would have spent time mingling with more people...my wedding went so fast....
For me and DH's 10 anniversary, we plan on renewing our vows in aruba or somewhere so I can "do it my way" this time around.

Couple of things for me.
Different photographer for one - that's the biggie.
Maybe I would have opted for a Saturday instead of a Sunday just for the purpose of having more time to take pictures. We felt very rushed and having more time would have made it better.

Walked down the aisle myself and not have my brother escort me. He's a fake piece of sh!t and my wedding was an inconvenience to him.
I also would not have invited his white trash friend and wife who were no shows and my brother never bothered to ask his friend.
I also would have checked out other florists. My florist gave me a great day but he screwed up the entire order and my bk's and CP's suked and the bk's died soon after the wedding started.
Other than that, it was an amazing day and I have no regrets.
