Spinoff to play room post... if you don't have one and only have a living room...

How do you have it gated off? Our house is weird b/c the living room is raised so it's two steps up from the hallway. I want to gate off a section once DD becomes a master crawler (which will be soon I think!). What can we get to gate off a section that is sturdy?

I have a the same problem.. no extra room for DS' playroom & I don't want to turn his room into an area where I will trip over his things.

I saw this one in the One Step Ahead catalog. You can gate off the room. It retracts, so when she's sleeping, you can open up the entranceway and not have to jump over a gate. Thought it was pretty innovative.

Here's the link:

We have a tiny den that I'm on DH to make into DD's playroom which actually just have to get a couch and we're done...we're using it as storage nowChat Icon Anyway, right now she's in our living room and we have it gated off against the couch with the superyard XT

Our couch is a large sectional. We used a metal gate and squared it off.

We've used this zig-zagged across our livingroom/kitchen area and DS didn't figure out it could be moved until recently ( he's 22 months)..
You can put two kits together and I believe they can also be mounted to the wall for stability if you need it.

I have this one in our basement blocking off my treadmill. You can arrange it into a "cage" too. Chat Icon

omg, Julie! LOL. DH always calls it the "baby corral" - like he's a horse or something.

We have a playroom for DD, but i'm still getting this anyway (probably picking it up tomorrow since the little bugger started crawling already. I was hoping to have more time... Chat Icon Chat Icon )
