spinoff to rashes and dry patches
how do i know the difference b/w baby acne and exsema(sp?)? She's had some very tiny pimples for a few weeks now that also seem to be accompanied by very dry skin. I thought it was just baby acne and would go away and the ped told me it will clear up but didn't say what it is exactly. Someone asked me the other day if it's baby ecsema and I didn't know what to say?

good question! Ella had some acne last week, that is now very tiny rash like pimples. I'm not sure if its a manifestation of the baby acne or eczema or a reaction to something.
Its on her cheeks, chin and the back of her neck.

pimples are baby acne. Do a search on it - many of the moms here posted good cures.
eczema is more like a dry patch - or sometimes raised, sometimes long, not very pimple like.

This is exactly what DD has and as a matter of fact i have seasonal eczema and use elidel on my skin for it............
Of course this is aside from the red rashes on her cheeks

Emily has eczema -- it is like big redish patches of very dry, almost scaly skin.
Pimples are more of just dots --- or she did have bad bad bad baby acne at one point when she was little but it wasn't dry looking, more like red and inflamed and kinda pussey.
