Spinoff to school vacations: DH just got furloughed
FIVE weeks. And it's the WRONG FIVE WEEKS. I need him off during school vacation time....like November when they have a zillion 1/2 days!
Cross your fingers for me that he doesn't come back to a layoff, which could mean NINE MONTHS. It's a bad time for construction. His company is one of the largest electrical contractors in NYC. If it goes under, I can't even imagine the wait time for those laid off.

TELL ME ABOUT IT!!!!!
DH was furloghed for 2 1/2 months and just went back....ironically DS as sick THIS WEEK!!!! And next Friday is that stupid daycare Teachers thing so they are closed....DH couldn't be off any of these times...
And yes, I hope he doesn't get hit with a layoff either....can still happen even though he's back....that's why he's checking out what he needs to get into teaching.....
