spinoff- why do you post on this message board?
I started posting on the pregnancy board because I was pregnant and it was so early, I didn't want to tell my friends. But I had to have someone to talk to about it! And then I got on NFR because of the intersting conversations and various viewpoints.
What about you? Why do you post here?

I found this site from the Home section, since we're doing work soon. I've always been very involved with DC, so I started checking out the Parenting section. NFR is my guilty pleasure....

i started posting on TTC first b/c i knew that after my wedding we would be trying to start a family. i gradually moved over to NFR and other boards, and now post regularly on the PG board.
now i post on here b/c it gets me thru the day - i would be so stressed if i didn't have some kind of escape, and LIF is it for me now.

*I post on other message boards and sometimes I feel like I can't relate to the people because they are not from this area. (Often this is where a lot of drama comes from IMO).
*This board seems to have less drama then the other message boards I go to. (Or at least I never seem to be around for the drama).
*Looking to meet new friends and it seems more realistic to meet people here, then halfway across the country or in Canada or somewhere.

As for NFR -it's where we talk about Lost!
As a SAHM this board (NFR) reminds me of the faculty room where people talk about random things- news, weather, whatever. I like the connection it provides when I'm home.
I like that it's NOT about parenting. Sometimes that is the very last thing I want to talk about when I have time to kill on the computer.
The specialty boards- food, fashion, teachers are also fun, but get less traffic.
Parenting has been *great* for advice, but if I ever get booted from LIF it will be for using the eye rolling icon on someone going on and on over there
