Spinoff...Do you think that the Government is attempting to have too much control over US Citizens

Although I do not agree with everything that Howard Stern says and does...I believe that his views in regards to protecting our 1st Amendment rights are well founded.

The FCC along with some Governemnt appointed board for decency have been discussing weather or not Satelite Radio should be constricted in what the shows can and can not air.

I personally feel that if I am paying for a service...then the government should not be able to regulate what I am listening to or watching...(in regards to Cable/PayPer View)
As a responsible adult I should be allowed to decide for myself what type of entertainment I want to expose myself to.

In this instance I agree. If I am paying for a service and have been warned that the subject matter may be adult in nature, it should be up to me and me alone to decide if it will be aired in my home or in my car. I think it's really just an FCC hates Howard thing at this point. Opie & Anthony have been on XM for over a year now and they are pretty crude and this didn't come up until Howie moved to Sirrus.

In terms of searching my bag on the subway, tapping my phone, reading my email, etc. I have nothing to hide so I really don't care. I'd rather be slightly inconvenienced than something horrible happen. But I'm also of the opinion that while a great idea in theory to have a watchdog group for civil rights, many of these civil rights activists take things to the extreme.
