Splish Splash with 1+ year old - What to bring?
Their website says swin diapers. Are we talking disposable or fabric?
Lockers: what kind of locks do they require?
Chairs: how is the set-up to seat by the toddler attractions? Are there chairs, etc...?
Is there sunumbrellas for shade?
TIA

If I remember correctly...
The Suffolk County Dept of Health says you need to have the reusable swim diapers, not the huggies ones for public pools since they don't contain the messes
I think their lockers have locks that you put money in and the key comes out
I think there are lounge chairs and I thnk there is also a picnic area.
There are A LOT of trees there so I don't think shade is a huge issue.

Re: Splish Splash with 1+ year old - What to bring?
The park is about 90% shade so I wouldn't worry about the sun. The lockers are I *think* are $20 to rent. You get $10 back. I have never rented one, we just keep are stuff in the beach bag on a chair or in a cubbie. I don't bring valuables though. They don't allow food or drink in and they DO check your bags thoroughly, but if you have baby food, they probably wouldn't say anythying. Disposable swimmies are fine, since it's not urine they are worried about. Even bathing suit swimmies don't hold urine, they are just thicker and usually have a rubber type material inside to prevent a BM from getting in the pool.

Well, they would have to allow baby food. DS does not eat anything else.

You can bring baby food but it has to be in a plastic container they do not want glass in the park.

There are 2 kinds:
The swimmers (disposable diapers like Pampers/Huggies)
The swim diaper (swinsuit with a liner)
A lot of pools do not accept the swimmers (disposable diapers).

Really? I've never heard of that. They are both the same, except one gets thrown away.

YES they allow them. In fact, they sell them there, as does every single hotel pool we've been to.
They make swimsuit bottoms with built in linings. They are the same exact thing, except one is thrown away.
