Spooky Puppy aka Learning Puppy
Maybe being a full time working mom is getting to me but I swear this thing is possessed and it's starting to creep me out. It talks when no one is playing with it, when no one has touched it for hours, and it says the most fitting things at the just the right moments.
Examples:
I threw it in the trunk. Continued to load the trunk. Puppy is quiet. Never threw anything on top of Spooky. Walk away from car for several minutes. Come back to close the trunk. As I'm closing it I hear "Bye bye!"
Spooky is sitting on the sofa. No one has been near him for hours. I walk by (again no touching involved) and I hear "I love you!".
DH and I are in the bedroom. We get up to go to the kitchen, as we are walking out of the room, out of nowhere "Bye bye".
DH and I are bickering... I make a good point/dig. Spooky says: "Yay!!!!!" (obviously he's not just spooky but smart too).
Yeah I know I sound nuts. But I swear this thing is self-aware.

Its funny you posted this, Julia has this puppy also, and I'm like totally afraid of it. It will just start talking out of no where, and scare the cr@p out of me--lol It reminds me of Chucky!

Ahh! I'm glad we don't have that one!
Her playwall randomly goes on though. I think they make them that way to try and get the baby to play with them more...

Re: Spooky Puppy aka Learning Puppy
We have that puppy but haven't had any of those problems. But we do have other toys that "speak" to us, or make noise for no reason. It's definitely creepy!

This is really freaky...my cousin bought the same thing for his son and guess what...
It freaks them out too!
It does the same exact things that you described.

This is one of my kids favorite toys. Most likely, the batteries are low. FP toys are notorious for doing spooky things when low on battery.

Re: Spooky Puppy aka Learning Puppy
Well looks like Spooky Puppy really likes Sandra.
Wait until the batteries really start to die. My friend's daughter has a doll that does tumbelsaults & jumps up from a sitting position to a standing position. Now that the batteries are dying, she sees the doll jump up & say "doooo YOU want to play with me?"

Walmart, Target, TRU, and perhaps BRU.

Re: Spooky Puppy aka Learning Puppy
Yep, I have all sorts of strange electronic toys speaking to me (right when I am about to go to sleep and it scares the heck out of me).
I think this means the batteries are running low!

I hate this toy "let's sing and play games"...it never finishes a song because the slightest touch ..."foot"..."hand"
sometimes ds falls asleep with it in his playpen and it is a missions to get it it out ..."yellow foot"

Re: Spooky Puppy aka Learning Puppy
My DS has a "Prayer Bunny". When he was little, he was napping and must have rolled onto the bunny. I had the monitor on and heard..in a creepy voice..."Now I lay me down to sleep...". FREAKED me out BIG time. Took that sucka out of the crib ASAP!
