Spotting a week before O?
Does anyone else have this? I spotted lightly for two days on CD 12 & 13. I'm now on CD18 and although I feel I'm approaching O (probably either tomorrow or day after) I haven't actually O'd yet. Is it normal to have ovulation spotting that far in advance? Can that even be considered ovulation spotting? Before I started spotting I was dry, but along with the spotting was the first sight of CM this month...

Are you sure you haven't O'd. You can O at different times month to month. I have only heard of spotting coinciding with O

This actually happened to me last month...I have no idea why....I tried to research reasons on the internet but all the info regarding spotting seemed to be about ovulation spotting (which I never get) . I got a postiive opk about a week later. Is it possible that it is leftover af??? That is the conclusion I came to....don't know for sure....but in any case I ovulated a little later and my period came a little later if that means anything.

Well, I had something similar to this month. It wasn't spotting it was like a mini-perid that stared day 13, and that is usually around the time I am getting ready to ovulate. Since I called my doctor, he monitored me and I did ovulate but about a week later than I usually do. There was no explanation for it.
I have read though that sometimes there can be some bleeding at the time of O. Its confusing i know!

I've been temping and I've just had a bit of a thermal shift this morning, so I'm positive I hadn't O'd yet.
Thanks everyone - sounds like it shouldn't be too much to worry about if other people are experiencing it. I just was slightly alarmed because I too googled it and can only find info about implantation spotting and then bleeding in the 2ww.
I'm actually surprised with how far in advance some of the symptoms of O appear - I had the spotting on CD 12 & 13 and then EWCM on CD16 and I thought, right, I'm O'ing NOW, but I guess not.
