spotting (warning TMI)

the last 3 days ive been spotting brown blood when i wipe. its not all the time, maybe 4 times total. ive been cramping like i have since the 2ww on and off (im only 5 weeks). i called my dr this morning but they're closed and say if its an emergency to call a different #. would this be an emergency??? i just went to the bathroom again and theres no blood. its scaring me that its on and off. i havent even had my first appt yet because they want to wait until im at least 8 weeks before they see me.

what do i do? am i worrying for no reason???Chat Icon

Re: spotting (warning TMI)

I have read and heard that spotting can be fine, but if you are really worried call....or wait until later and see how things go, but I have a feeling it is just the implantation spotting....good luck and try not to stress!!!!

Brown sppotting isn't uncommon. It happened to me twice during my first pregnancy. If you are really worried, go ahead & call the emergency number. Chat Icon

Re: spotting (warning TMI)

well i called...the person i spoke to said it was very common in week 5 and not to worry. if it becomes heavy or red then i should come in asap. but shes going to have the senior nurse call me to answer my questions. i feel better now. but im still gonna talk to the senior nurse and see if the mild cramping that im having is normal too. please pray for me!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: spotting (warning TMI)

when you find these spottings, what were you doing right before? anything strenous? Maybe your pushing your body too much at the time.

Or it could be caused by sex...sometimes the cervix gets irritated by sex early on in pregnancy.

Re: spotting (warning TMI)

you could be experiencing normal cramping at 5 weeks.....but if you're still having cramps and concerned, call the emergency # or go to the ER. I hope everything is ok!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
