SPR - does anyone live in a split, and use the lower level as a playroom?

We are thinking of reorganizing our home to use the lower level as a playroom. We are using as a family room now, but thinking of using our formal living room as more a family room and making the family room as a playroom. Anyone have this setup? Pics?

We have a split, but use the 3rd bedroom as a playroom. If you do not use your formal living room, then switch it overChat Icon

we don't have a split but we recently renovated our basement and instead of designing it as a traditional basement set up, we actually made it like part of the house (an open stairway as opposed to just a doorway) we have a railing leading so you can see down there and we LOVE it. It got all of the toys out of our living room and since I can hear and somewhat see what is going on down there, I feel comfortable letting DS play down there while I am upstairs.

we have a split and that is our eventual plan.....right now its a mess down there.

right now we have the playroom upstairs. the previous owners turned the attic into a big 4th bedroom so right now thats our playroom. once the kids get bigger and we need it as a bedroom well move the playroom to downstairs.
