SPR: Can you recommend your vacuum?
We are thinking of getting a Dyson. Not sure which one to get? Is the $600 one a lot better than the $400 one?

I have a dyson slim, I love it...it was around $400 so I am not sure if the more expensive one's are better.

We have a dyson. I have the purple "animal" one and it seems to do a really good job! I would recommend it.

The DC24 is the one that is $400, I think the DC25 is $500. The DC24 is a more compact vacuum. I'm sure it's just as good!

Most retailers have it for $500 but you can buy it online for $400.

Most retailers have it for $500 but you can buy it online for $400.

I have the DC25 - it was $499 at BBB and I used a 20%off coupon -$100 so it was $400. Even though the coupons say no Dyson, I was able to use it.
I LOVE it btw! There's also an "animal" version which is $50 more but the only difference is the color (purple instead of yellow) and it has an extra attachment. I didn't think the attachment was worth the extra $50.

It really depends on your flooring. Do you mostly Carpet or Wood Floors...

I have the Dyson DC14 Animal and I hate it. It does lose its suction (I've had it for 4 years) and makes high pitched noises every once in a while.

I have the cannister one (I think it's the DC23?) and I LOVE it!! We have mostly hardwood floors and it's great for picking up the dog hair. I think it was around $600.
