I just got the call that my extremely healthy active dad passed out today and had to be taken to the ER.He is diabetic and apparently he's had the flu and just dehydrated and his insulin levels were waaaay off.According to my mom they spent the whole day trying to keep his blood pressure up and keep him conscious. They think he's fine now, but they told my mom to keep a very close eye on him because he insisted on being discharged. My first thought was "Oh my god, what if Logan never gets to know him." I know it seems small, but it has really just shaken me to my core.

not small at all, the thought of our parents getting ill as we get older is a scary one. Hopefully you're mom will be a good nurse-maid. Men are so stubborn i hope he feels better soon!!!

Thanks everyone.I didn't sleep at all last night. Everytime I would drift off I would dream the phone was ringing and it was my mom saying things got worse. My mom is a medical lab tech, so she'll make sure he takes it easy today.He's only 55 and the thought of them not being around hasn't even occured to me before this.
