I'm no help, DD only eats jarred and puffs and a biter bisquit thing every now and then. She has no teeth though. Curious to see what others eat though.

Re: spring 07 moms?

DD has 6 teeth. We make her food.

She eats:

Fruits: papaya, apple, pear, blueberries, strawberries, banana

Veggies: parsnips, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, broccoli, carrots, peas, squash, eggplant, zucchini, edamame

Other: avocado, cheerios, lentils, hummus, bread (more for sucking on than anything else)

protein: salmon, turkey, chicken - no red meat

she had a bite of scrambled egg off my plate the other day. . . but didnt seem too thrilled with it.

we'll try pastina soon - probably this weekend.

Re: spring 07 moms?

I make my own baby food also.

As far as "real" food goes, he's had:

banana
avocado
butternut squash
sweet potatoe
peas
oatmeal (thre real thing- not the baby one)

(By "real" I mean that I gave him the actual food w/o pureeing it. The squash, potatoe and peas were cooked to softness first.)

I'm planning to work down this
list from KM and not bother with the purees too much anymore.

DS only eats babyfood and occasionally YoBaby Yogurt. My ped wants him on baby food until 11 months at the earliest.

He eats puffs and he has four teeth nowChat Icon

Re: spring 07 moms?

This is what I introduced month by month:

I make my own, almost all organic:

5 months:
avacado
bananas
sweet potato
whole grain cereal
peaches
pears
plums
prunes
apricots

6 months:
winter squash- acorn, butternut
papaya
mango
yogurt
carrots

7 months:
Cheerios (only a few at mealtime)
tofu
hard-boiled egg yolk
carrots
green beans
peas
peaches
asparagus

8 months:
apple sauce
cantaloupe
kiwi
broccoli
okra

9 months:
brussel sprouts
corn
cauilflower
spinach
turnips
pineapple
lentils
red kidney beans
black beans
blueberries
whole-grain pasta
organic chicken

**I broke the three day wait rule twice this month to fit more food in. They were fine, no reactions.

I skipped juice.

Re: spring 07 moms?

DS just turned 9 months. He is still on Stage 2 baby foods and puffs. We go to the ped on Monday, so we'll see what she says we can add! DS just cut his first tooth last week and his second should be here any day now!

Re: spring 07 moms?

I puree all his foods..make them myself

He has apples, Pears, apricots, mango, prunes and peaches

I give him mashed up banana and mashed up avacado

Whole milk or Yo baby yogurt

Sweet potatos, Winter Squash, peas, green beans, carrots.

Pastina and some Gerber Wagon wheels, I think thats it.

I buy only organic fruits and veggies.

Re: spring 07 moms?

Re: spring 07 moms?

Ella just turned 9 months yesterday - she has 2 bottom teeth so far and is pretty much eating stage 2 foods and puffs. I will give her some pasta cut up and she will eat it. I am not sure about trying yogurt yet, she is on neocate formula since she could not tolerate milk based and soy based formula. We don't see the doctor until 10 months so we shall see what they say then.
