Re: St Charles Hospital
I delivered here just on March 11 and it was a great experience. The hospital is clean, well staffed and very nice. You have your own big birthing room. I had a vaginal delivery, but I saw the c-section room when I had a tour of the hospital and it look clean and nice.
Overall, a GREAT HOSPITAL AND EXPERIENCE!!

Re: St Charles Hospital
I had an AWESOME Experience there with J Anthony (but switched for the next one, because I wanted to be closer to home incase of bad weather (winter) ).
But the anesthesiologist was PHENOMENAL, I wanted to request her at St CAtherines my 2nd time I cant remember, but her 1st name might have been Carolyn or CAtherine. what a DOLL ! (she was also in identical twin, so she had the final say in letting my sister in the room with us for the CS)-and thank GOd for that because I was under the impression, and was TOLD OK wayy beforehand! Then she even let my sis pump in her office (I was in labor a long time and she was getting wayy engorged) she set her up with bottles, pump, the works in her own office.) we just totally bonded, I loved her we even brought her a thank you package a week or two later.
Stacey, ya didnt think Id give a quick answer without a tangent didja ???
oh, one thing, the bed was SUPER uncomfortable, and I thought it was just me being bi t c h y, but a few moms said the same thing in the next 2 days I was there, but thats so minimal and Im sure thats changed since then.
Other than that I have to say the staff and nurses at both ST Charles and St Catherines were nothing but sweet, caring, warm, considerate, I cant say enough good things about how well both my stays were.

Stacey...
I had Cassidy there and had a c-section, and I LOVED IT!!!! The ONLY bad thing I can say about it is that on day 2, when I was in alot of pain, they had a couple of students come in and I felt like a guinea pig. Other than that...it was PERFECT!!!

I would think that you would be able to ask them to leave. Because I would have no problem with it

Re: St Charles Hospital
I had both my kids at St. Charles. The first one was harder because I had no clue what I was doing and they were under staffed.

Re: St Charles Hospital
My SIL just delivered there on Friday. She has had a great experience. My only complaint as a family member and visitor are the visiting hours and hospital policy. Its Siblings/Grandparents 2-4 and all others 7-8. We had to go from 7-8 and all the babies are in the nursery no matter what, so we didn't get to hold her at all

I read that when my OBGYN gave me their little info brochure. I was like When I saw the visiting hours for siblings. I wanted Damien to be able to be up there whenever. Do you know if the baby's are in the room when siblings/grandparents visit?

Yes the babies are in the room from 2-4. The later time, they are not.

Re: St Charles Hospital
Stacey...Cassidy was born at 11:45 am, and Scotty (along with DH, my mom and sister) all came to my room right away. Scotty actually got to see Cassidy before he saw me. That was a big concern of mine too, I wanted Scotty to be able to meet her...but it all worked out great. I guess right after the baby is born they let some visitors in even though it's not visiting hours

Re: St Charles Hospital
Stacey - they were SO lax w/ visitors. Damian could go from 2-4 and they wouldn't say anything
