Stage 3 Baby Food Question
I went shopping today for Stage 3 foods for DS since I was told to transition him to table food and upgrade to Stage 3. I noticed that everywhere I went, there were no Stage 3 foods that were just plain vegetables. For instance, in Stages 1 & 2, I was able to get peas, green beans, carrots, etc by themselves. The only thing I see is squash and sweet potatoes. So I guess I'm wondering if now that he's getting older, the lunch should be more of a "meal" as opposed to a vegetable with cereal as I have been giving him? I had been doing the following in addition to formula:
Breakfast: fruit w/ oatmeal
Lunch: vegetable w/ rice cereal
Dinner: Stage 2 dinner
So should lunch be another meal? They do have a decent amount of fruits for Stage 3, so I figured I'd stick to the fruit/cereal for breakfast even though I noticed the jar is significantly larger, so not sure he will need cereal.
Thanks in advance!!

Re: Stage 3 Baby Food Question
My DS NEVER ate stage 3 dinners - i think it confused him - the smooth texture of the sauce and then a chunk of whatever - he used to gag on them. He's 15 mos now and i gave him something simalar and he still gagged.
I started out table food w/ pasta (not corkscrew or spagetti) then the babyfood ravioli, peas. Barilla has a line of mini shapes now.
My DS doesn't really eat meat protein - my old babysitter said to make chicken meatballs so I did - ground chicken, breadcrumbs, - then I made 2 batches - one with spinach and cheddar cheese and one with petited diced tomatoe and motz. cheese - i made them bite sized b/c otherwise he'd play with them.
