stair runners
Has anyone put down stair runners down. I got a few prices from home depot etc and they are so expensive, I tried a little carpet store on 110 and I picked out nice runner. It was a good density and with the installation, $439, Do you think that is good? Thanks Karen

Re: stair runners
stairs are always more money because they are labor intensive. sounds like you got a good deal (I paid $600 for nothing special carpet)

Re: stair runners
sounds really cheap. does this include a rug pad? i would ask if you could bring a sample home to ensure quality.

Re: stair runners
We literally just had one installed. We bought a rug that was in Architectural Digest last month - we found it at 25% off at a local store. We paid about $1250 for it.
