Standing/walking before crawling?
I think I remember hearing that if a baby stands or walks before they crawl that it is a sign that there is something wrong, developmentally.
Has anybody heard of this or know about it?

Re: Standing/walking before crawling?
PLenty of babies surpass crawling and go to walking-
there was a thread not to long ago- about crawling being important for development- but it is not something that is a fact- rather than a here say thing right now...

Here's the recent post on this topic: http://www.lifamilies.com/chat/topic.aspx?ID=102696
I was the one that replied with answers from doctors that say there is no correlation with doing one before the other, or skipping one, or anything else. All kids mature and learn things at there own pace, so don't worry about it. Unfortunately, not all doctors know what they are talking about. That's why I always research everything any doctor tells me on the Internet, and make sure I find several sources before coming to my own conclusion.
