Staples rant!
I went to staples today and was tryign to spend my 250 teachers choice money which as I previously mentioned is hard because I have been teaching for 5 years now. So I took the advice of the girls here and stocked up on markers, crayons, pens pencil, etc. I get up the cashier with a cart filled with about 12 of each item and she says you need your teachers ID. And a license. I said well I have my license but the only city ID I have it my drug card that says UFT on it. He says no its not good enough. There was a women in front of me having the same problem except she was only trying to buy like 5 folder( limit is three).
I understand that there are limits and stuff but HELLO why would I be buying 12 packs of markers crayons,glue, sharpener, etc... So finally i asked for a manager and she said it was OK...
This happen to anyone else?

Do you have a teacher's reward card? That is all I ever show and I have never had a problem.

I went to staples the other day and they gave me the form to fill out to get a teachers reward card. I haven't been back to use it but if they ask for ID i dont know what I'll do because I don't have a teachers ID.

I went to staples today and they asked me for my teachers ID. In order to get more 3 of each item I had to show them ID. The city doesn't give ID. I shoed them my UFT card and that worked.
