STAR exemption question
What factors go into determining how much your exemption will be?
My co worker's exemption is approx $1600, where mine is only $ 1026. Her house is bigger than mine and and our true taxes are roughly the same. (She's in Town of Babylon...I'm in the town of Islip).

Different towns have different exemptions. I'm in Massapequa Park and my sister is in West Islip - hers is different than mine. Merrick is different from Massapequa too.
