STAR rebate check - did i have to file again last year?
please tell me that i didn't have to re-file in 07? i thought that i had to do it once when i bought my house in 04. isn't that true?

you had to fill out a form last year to receive the refund. if you did it last year you dont have to do it this year.

NO! The STAR rebate you filled out in 2004 is fine. That rebate you receive on your taxes each year.
This STAR rebate is an EXTRA from the state. If you received a check last year, you will automatically receive a check this year.

NO! The STAR rebate you filled out in 2004 is fine. That rebate you receive on your taxes each year.
This STAR rebate is an EXTRA from the state. If you received a check last year, you will automatically receive a check this year.
but in order to have received the check, you had to fill out the form.
