Starbucks Peppermint Brownie Cake Pop

Have any of you had this delicious treat?

If so, how would you replicate it?

I want to make these for Christmas and am trying to figure out how to replicate the recipe.

They sell a kit in the stores, but it's with vanilla cake mix...I would assume that if you swapped out chocolate cake mix for the vanilla, that might work? Cake Pop Kit

This!

Maybe add a smidge of mint extract to the brownie mix?

I was thinking this too but then I thought the brownies might be too heavy for the pop.

My thought was this:

-Chocolate cake with crushed candy canes and buttercream frosting rolled into balls
-Dip the balls in the white chocolate on a pop and then roll in the crushed candy cane.

It sounds like the obvious way to go but I wanted to hear some other suggestions.

They are same yummy...I want them now!

nope...not too heavy. I have made them a number of times. You do not need to even add icing. I have also done it with store bought already made brownies to save time! works every time!

This or for more minty and to hold them together better, I might add homemade peppermint buttercream to the brownie balls then dip them in white chocolate and roll them in crushed candy canes.

DH brought one home for me a couple of weeks ago because I was having a bad day. Definitely hit the spot.

Then I bought one for myself last week after I weighed in at WW. I gained a pound and a half after Thanksgiving, so what was one little brownie pop. Chat Icon

If anyone makes them, can you share what you did and how they came out. Thanks!

Re: Starbucks Peppermint Brownie Cake Pop

I would make brownies and bury some peppermint patties in the batter before baking. Then make your cakepops.Chat Icon
