Started Michael On A Bedtime Schedule Last Night
Michael is 28 months and has never had a bedtime schedule. With #2 less than 10 weeks away, DH thought & I agreed that Michael needs to go to bed at a decent hour so that he does not wake up very late the next morning. So last night at about 9:40 I tried to put him into his bed but he cried and held onto me. DH came in about 5 minutes later put him in his bed with a few trucks and we left the room. We heard him whine for about 15 minutes and that was it. He was sleeping. He woke up at 7 am this morning but by 10 am he was taking a nap. We are going to try the same thing tonight and see if it works.

I'm sure it will be a big period of transition for Michael. With the earlier bedtime though, the rest of the day will work itself out over time. You'll definitely be all the better for getting this schedule in place before DC #2 comes along.

Re: Started Michael On A Bedtime Schedule Last Night
Last night was night #2 with a schedule. We went into his room at about 9:30 pm. He layed down and played with his trucks. About 15 mins later he was crying and got himself so worked up that he could not breath. I went in there to try to console him but all he wanted was for me to take him inside with me. I did that and at about 10:30 he fell asleep for the night.
