Starting Eating Therapy
What to bring? They told me to bring different textures and foods he'll eat and foods he won't. Any ideas?
I was thinking... banana puffs pretzels chicken pieces pasta babyfood yogurt
is that good? SHe also had a cup he'll drink from, but he's good with any of that. Oh, and a spoon. I'm wondering if they'll heat up the chicken or pasta. Should I make it plain or make the pasta with a little butter? what about the chicken? thanks

Re: Starting Eating Therapy
I would also bring cereal and milk to put in a bowl. When my DS was working on some of his eating issues early on, the therapist used cheerios with a spoon. Started dry, then slowly added a little more milk each week to change the texture slightly so he would get used to the different textures.
I would make the chicken and pasta however you normally would at home - they are working with you to get him to eat it the way you would serve it to him at home.
Good luck!

Re: Starting Eating Therapy
i would bring anything that he's not eating to see how it works. I'm sure if it needs to be heated they will heat it and try the different textures.
Good Luck!

thanks that's a good idea
BTW... not much of a cook so was going to buy a rotisserie for dinner and mix it with salad. figured I'd cut up some pieces for therapy. Pasta is usually with a sauce, but I figured plain or with a little butter will be fine
