I don't think it will make a difference unless the site has a way of proving people's ages.
but that would be costly and I dont think Tom would waste his time doing it.

I agree.
I think Tom sold it to a corporation though (I swear I remember reading he made millions off it and just acts as "the face" now). If that is the case, I can see why the corporation is TRYING to do this...although I don't think it wil work.

I wish they would, although there's no way they could enforce it. My little brother is on there (13) and is lying about is age (17)
I told my dad and he's done nothing about it.

The minium age stuff is crap... my friend's 12 year old nephew was on there with all sorts of cursing/etc., and his profile said he was 16...
My friend reported it and they said, "Well, we can't prove it"
THERE WAS A STUPID SURVEY ON THERE THAT SAID HIS CORRECT AGE!!!
I don't like the 'private profile' stuff anyways, because then parents can't see what's on their 14 year old's profile... My little sister booted me off her myspace list, and she's on a private profile, who know's what's on there, and now i don't have any way to keep tabs on her

I dont think it will make a difference- there are tons of kids who arent the min. age right now, and just lie.... changing the min, age isnt gonna stop this.
Unfortunately- IMO- the parents are gonna have to monitor their childrens online activity a little closer in order to stop some of the things that go on (that arent right) on the site...

Great spy minds think alike.....it's like I have to go MySpace to see what he's up to.
This is why I originally joined myspace.... My mother also joined for this reason...(for those who know the situation with my brother- this is where it all began..)
