Static on the Summer Handheld Video Monitor
I have been getting ALL static on the audio of the Summer Handheld Video Monitor...
The video part transmits fine, but the audio emits this LOUD static that constantly wakes DH up at night.
I tried changing the channel, using it while plugged in, etc. For close to $200, this thing should work!!! Did anyone else have this problem??? Thanks!

I always have the volume down so I don't know. He has a sound machine in his room so that noise would bother me.

Yes mine does the same thing randomly.
I dont use it for audio so its not a big deal for us really....

Is it near a cordless phone?
Also, if you don't have it charged, and you unplug it so you can walk around with it, it will give constant static. Maybe it needs to be charged?

The audio on ours is completely shot. I'm not sure why I have just accepted it for such an expensive item, but it's just how ours is now. There's either a ton of static, or the audio goes in and out. I should probably look into this (I will admit DD has dropped it on the floor a few times, so I can't necessarily blame the product  ).

Mine isn't near a cordless phone, although maybe I will try to change the channels on that just in case it is affecting something... I am so annoyed that I threw out the box. Otherwise, I would be returning it.

You could try calling the company and complaining maybe?

This happens to me from time to time. I just turn the volume down where I can still hear it but, the static doesn't startle me when it happens - i notice sometimes it is from interference - if a plane is flying overhead or if my phone is near it etc but, other times it happens randomly for no apparent reason. ALthough I love my monitor - it has issues, I am already on my second since my first MELTED

I returned mine after the first week and never replaced it. I returned it to BBB and they told me the static was because I had wireless internet in my house and that I needed a monitor that was digital. Not sure if that's true, but that's what they told me!

Mine kinda does that sometimes, always has and liek others said, if its in a room with a cordless phone or a wireless Internet connection its worse.
