Stationary Side or drop down...
Okay I know a 1000 questions have been asked and answered about cribs..but I am still confused.
I checked out some cribs this past weekend and I liked the sleigh style ones with knee push drop down sides and Dh preferred the ones with the stationary sides...
But..........for some reason the stationary ones look like they would be easier to get out of than the other ones......like they are a few inches lower .....am I wrong?
Please help as I really need to order one.
Thanks

Re: Stationary Side or drop down...
I don't know if the stationary sides are lower but I have a drop down and I've never even used it.

Re: Stationary Side or drop down...
I have a stationary side and now I wish we had gotten a drop down. Even just to be able to fit the bumper in the crib we would have to drop the mattress down a few levels since the front side is not high enough to attach it (right now it's only a few inches above the mattress). I ended up taking the bumper out and keeping the mattress up high for now. Once you drop the mattress you have to really bend over to put the baby in. It would be much easier to just drop the side. We haven't gotten to the point where DS is able to climb out, but you can still drop the mattress pretty low so I think it would be about as the same height as a regular crib. Oh and another thing that I HATE is that with the stationary side the front rail is pretty wide and thick so you can not attach most crib toys or mobiles to the crib! I have had to return so many things because they wouldn't work with his crib.

THanks everyone...
This has helped a lot..I think I will go with the drop down one to save my back as well.....and I want to use a breathable bumper.
