I wasnt fond of her either. She helped me a little in the hospital. Another nurse in NICU was my savior!! Also, I joined La Leche.

Re: St.charles lactation consultant..
She is a little weird, I agree, but I learned alot since this was my first child and DD wasn't latching on correctly at the hospital and she helped me tremeodously - and returned all my phone call promptly when I needed at home. Eileen was her name I think ?

There is nobody else on the weekends except for the regular nurses. I warned you she was odd.

Agree with this word-for-word. She was MORE than helpful with us when we called with questions from home. It was hard getting enough time with her in the hospital, but she was great overall. A little kooky, but so nice & helpful to us.

DO NOT PRAY FOR A FRI NIGHT DELIVERY!!!!!! Even though she's a bit odd, I would've loved to have help with a proper latch. I gave birth Friday night and by the time she saw me late Monday, DS had already established an improper latch. Also, ask for help!!! She doesn't just come to you.

Re: St.charles lactation consultant..
I met her! Definitely a little kooky, but she was really just a sweet person overall and helped me get through the first 2 days when my milk came in and I was in agony....She knows what she is doing.
You have to ask for her, though...
There was another nurse who worked there with a Swedish accent - young, blonde hair, very thin...she was really sweet and helpful too. She mentioned La Leche League to me...
I found that all of the nurses at St Charles were really nice and helpful.
