Steam Mop or other Floor cleaner recc?
After 10 months my Shark steam mop died. This is apparently a common problem. I guess there is some sort of fuse that blows and can't be fixed. Grrrr. So I'm in the market for a new floor cleaning system. Any reccs?
DD is allergic to dust and I have to mop the floors twice a day, every day or she gets hives where her skin touches the floor (she's only 10 months and not walking).
I don't have any carpet, all my floors are hardwood, marble or cork. Marble and cork are very reactive to a lot of cleaners, so I think that a steam mop may be the way to go, but have no ideas about brands, so any reccs or advice to avoid certain brands would be much appreciated!!

Mine just blew up the other day too! Piece of junk! I never liked it anyway! I just ordered the Steam It by Oreck from Amazon because it had good reviews. I have not received it though.

I had no idea the Shark Steam mop had known problems. Mine doesn't steam anymore so its basically useless. Is that what happened to yours?

Have you tried putting vinegar in it and plugging it in to run for awhile. Mine had junk in it and this fixed the problem easy. I had one before and this happened and I threw it away and got a new one! I felt so dumb for replacing it after I figured out that it had a mineral build up!

mine stopped steaming, and then literally blew up with a loud noise, and a burning smell!

Nraboni, yup. Exactly what happened to mine, then it started making a loud whirring sound, a loud pop and then nothing. Ugh.
