Stella is waking up at the crack of dawn!
Stella, our 6 month old boxer, has been getting up anywhere between 5-6 a.m for the past 2 weeks and is in super play mode at that time! She used to never get up before 7 a.m...And at night, I have been trying to keep her up a little later so she maybe sleeps a little later and it's not working...I don't want her to get used to it becasue it's getting exhausting for me! Any tips?

If she's crated then I wouldn't let her out til you are up and ready. Does she have to pee though? Maybe don't give her water too late.

Thanks for the response! She sleeps on her dog bed in our room and I cut her water off at night at a certain time...I am thinking maybe not having blinds in our room yet and the sun shining early is making her get up early??? I am actually putting up blinds tonight so tomorrow morning will be the test!

Good luck - we are having the same issues with Scout - but at 4-5am. No matter where he sleeps, how late I keep him up, or how long since he's had water.
