Step 2 has a million play kitchens...how did you pick one???

There are so many options! How did you pick one? Space isn't really an issue but I don't want that big walk through one and I don't want a feminine- DS will be 16 mos when we get it for him. Tell me how you decided please Chat Icon

I am sort of thinking to get one without the food maybe b/c all the food is made in China and maybe get the food from somewhere else? Just b/c I KNOW DS will be chewing on it!

I knew I didn't want the walk through one but I wanted a "fancy" one so I got the next one under that walk in one. DD loves it and it's big enough that when she has friends over they can all be doing something with it.
We have the Lifestyle Deluxe!

ETA: I believe all Step 2 products are made in the USA. You could call them to make sure.

I got the Party Kitchen because it had a lot to do and seemed to be large enough for more than one child to play with. I like the color scheme and that it could be for a boy (DS will be 18 months when he gets it). I wasn't sure if the custom kitchen or whichever is the smaller size would be big enough, this one looked perfect.

I got it at BJ's.

I got the Lifestyle Partytime Kitchen.

I was going back and forth between the smaller one and this one - but decided to go with the lifestyle (well actually my parents are giving it to her for Christmas) partly b.c I got a good deal on it - $115 and .79 cent shipping from walmart - but I think it is $139 now. It doesn't come with food - just the parts I showed below. I bought her a shopping cart and food separately.

Sorry but I think you will have a very hard time finding anything NOT made in China - if you go with the mainstream brands.

Us too- I have a perfect spot right next to the real kitchen to fit it in. I know Walmart had the best prices on there. I got mine for 79.00.

Re: Step 2 has a million play kitchens...how did you pick one???

I have a son and also wanted a kitchen that wasn't too girly. I had decided on the Little Tykes Serve and Sizzle Kitchen but did some research and it gotten bad reviews. I ended up going with the Step 2 Diner. It was on sale at toysrus for $129.
