Sticking fingers in mouth and throwing up
DS is really putting his fingers far into his mouth (teething). He's been spitting up a lot when he does it because he starts jumping up and down. (Thus resulting in his fingers accidentally going in too far) Well, he just really threw up, including some food from hours ago. Can he be accidentally making himself do this? How can I stop it? He's 8 months old. TIA!!!!!!!

Re: Sticking fingers in mouth and throwing up
My DD went through a phase of doing that. It lasted about 2 months. There really isn't anything you can do, we would just take her fingers out and firmly say NO.

DD is doing this at 21 months. She is getting her two-year molars and sticks her fingers back there to touch them since it hurts. She occassionally spits up a bit. I'm not too concerned. It will pass.

Re: Sticking fingers in mouth and throwing up
DD did this alot for a while, but it has subsided for the most part. Its probably just a phase. I used to just take her hand(s) out of her mouth when she was doing it- if I saw it.

Emma was doing this tonight and kept spitting up. It was gross. I finally put the binky in her mouth to keep her hands out of it.

DS does this too. If you are concerned that he is spitting up too much you can try to give water or Pedialyte to prevent dehydration.
