Still having issues with bathroom countertop
We've been debating putting in a double sink or just leaving it as a single sink. Well, looking at the vanity there is absolutely no way we can fit a double sink in there unless we "dummy" 2 of the drawers. That would leave only 2 drawers available to use. They would both be on the right side, the middle one and the bottom one. Personally I would rather use a top drawer, but if we put a double sink in we would lose the 2 top drawers. WWYD? Would you just leave it as 1 single sink or dummy the 2 top drawers to be able to make it a double sink? Just a reminder, we're selling the house. Thanks!

Re: Still having issues with bathroom countertop
I would leave the bigger vanity and the use of the drawers and go with the one sink. We are about to move into a new construction house that had initially been planned for a double sink in the upstairs master bathroom and guest bathroom. I had them change it and center the sinks in both.
I know the double sink is the thing to do, but I didn't feel that it was worth sacrificing the space especially because we have 3 bathrooms so more than enough sinks to go around and the double sinks just looked a little too close together for me.

Re: Still having issues with bathroom countertop
Hmmm....
It sounds to me the double sink may look crammed. If so, I say stick with one sink.
2 sinks is great if they fit spaciously. Don't forget, when selling your home, people look for SPACE.

I would stick with one and enjoy the countertop space.

Re: Still having issues with bathroom countertop
When we updated our old bathroom before we sold it we had the room to put in a double sink but it wasn't worth it to do all the plumbing. We put a large vanity that had 4 draws and 2 doors in the middle with one sink. We never heard anyone say they wished it was a double. I think you should save your money (if you put a double that means you need another faucet and those can get pricey, even if you just spend $50 that can go towards accessories) and just do one sink.

Re: Still having issues with bathroom countertop
If you have an average to small sized bathroom, DON'T put in two sinks. We have an average sized bathroom and I can't for the life of me figure out why they put in two sinks... It's just really unnecessary and we have no space on the vanity / countertop. It also makes the bathroom appear much smaller than it it. It would make sense if the bathroom were larger, but it's just unnecessary in that space. You can't really have two people comfortably (with enough space to manuever freely) use both sinks at the same time. Unless you can comfortably use both at the same time, not worth having 2 sinks, IMHO.
Unless the bathroom is large, I see no benefit to having 2 sinks and would just prefer to have working drawers and storage space.
