stomach virus - doctor vent

so DS has the stomach virus again - 2nd time in 2 months. this time is so bad!
DH (who also has it) and I were nervous and called ped. at 5am today. DS (16 months old) can't keep any fluid down since Friday!

I guess the service woke him up and he literally whispered to me - so low that I had to keep saying to him, "what?" and then he kinda got annoyed when he had to keep repeating himself!
UMM, A**H**, you're on call for this reason - to field the calls of nervous 1st time parents!!
I normally like the doctors in this practice but now I'm not so sure!!

Hope your DS feels better soon! What did the ped. wind up telling you (once you could hear)?

he BELIEVES its just the normal stomach virus - ignoring the fact that I said he's been "off" since friday.
gatorade every 1/2 hour.

One thing that worked for DD when she got it was to have her drink through a straw...she can control how much she got that way, enabling her to hold it down better...if he's old enough to use a straw, maybe try that.

My dd and dh came down with thursday night. I got last night.. ugh its the worse.

My peds advised me to give dd pedialite ice pops and drinks.. she wouldnt touch the drink.. and now wont even go near the sippy cup that had it in it. If she didnt stop that night I was to take to ER for IV.. I wonder why yours didnt advise you to takeh im to ER? Is he acting like him self overall?
