Stool Softeners

How long do these usually take to work?

And, is it normal to go just a tiny bit when first starting to take these?

Stool softeners are not laxatives (although they work that way for me! ) they are just supposed to "soften" things to prevent straining and for some people especially pg women it can sometimes help keep you regular. If you are backed up you may want to add a laxative to the mix or lots of fiber. Make sure you are also drinking lots of fluids and exercise helps keep things moving as well.

Oh yeah and to answer your original question you should notice a difference in a couple of days.
