Jess, the blister will get gross. With water inside it and all.
You'll get varying advice on this, but I say drain it with a pin, keep it clean, and put a bandaid on it.
It will get better! Next time use a fork.

When will the stinging end? Everytime I take my hand off the ice the stinging resumes at full force!!
There will be no next time for me. This was proof I shouldn't hve been eating it in the first place!

I don't even bother. 
But we do have a front loading toaster oven. I usually pull the rack out with the fork and then flip them onto the plate.

I was a cashier at the time and it hurt for the whole day following. I have two scars on my palm from it.
