Store-bought caesar dressing?
I loove caesar salads, but checked the label on the bottle in our fridge and one of the ingredients is "eggs." If it didn't specify pasteurized eggs should I assume it is unpasteurized, or should I assume that because it's commercially packaged it is pasteurized? Do I need to call the manufacturer?
Can anyone recommend a brand of good store-bought caesar dressing that is safe to eat?

I use Newmans own and Wishbone ( I think, I'm out of both right now). They both said pasteurized eggs and milk. I'd assume if you bought it in the store and it's a brand like Kraft etc than it's fine.

Re: Store-bought caesar dressing?
It was a gourmet brand but was displayed at room temp, which makes me think it was pasteurized egg in it?
Good to know there are some other brands that specify pasteurized though, thank you. I've really been missing my salads!

Re: Store-bought caesar dressing?
For some reason it's been my one constant craving this pregnancy. Ceaser salad, yummy! If i was stored at room temp it's definitely pasteurized.
