strange fertility question

Is there any relation between breakthrough bleeding and fertility?

I had breakthrough bleeding on a low-dose pill. The doctor precribed something a bit stronger and it was fine. But then I changed doctors and when asked which pill I was on, accidentally told the new doctor I was on the old pill. Breakthrough bleeding started again.

Once I realized my mistake I told my doctor, but since we're going to start TTC soon, she said she'd rather not put me back on the higher dose.

My question is - is the fact that I bleed through the low dosage a sign that everything's working properly? Like my super hormones are trying to override the pill???

I know it's a silly question, I was just wondering if there was any connection.

I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen for years and when the low dose one came out they changed me to that. I had breakthrough bleeding so they put me back on the regular one. I had no problem getting pregnant when I came off BCP, but every person is different.

I was on ortho tri cy lo- been off the pill for a year now....not pregnant yet..Never had break through bleeding

I switched to the Lo and had breakthrough bleeding. I talked to the Dr. and he said it was due to the lower hormone but I was still 100% protected. If it happened more than 3x in a row he would change it but after 2x I didn't bleed anymore.
