Strange question about what your kids will wear
I was waiting for to go food in a deli for my friend and I the other day and saw a mom and boy about 4 walking down the street. The boy was fully decked out in a batman costume-mask, black legging type pants, black cape, etc. He was skipping along holding his Mom's hand and just looked so happy. Can you see yourself doing this? I totally can but I know some Moms would think iit was crazy

Re: Strange question about what your kids will wear
If I were pressed for time and needed to get out of the house, I'd let my kid pretty much wear what she wanted as long as it was clean and neat as long as if it were not to temple. Im more about cleanliness and neatness.

Re: Strange question about what your kids will wear
I was actually getting my nails done the other this mom came in with her son and daughter, the son was decked out in a batman costume with the wings that would come out when he pulled on a string it was hysterical and would just walk up to random women getting their nails done and pulling out the wings, I thought it was the cutest thing ever, the daughter, which was younger was wearing her dora the explorer pj's bc they were new and wanted to wear them...the mother was a bit mortified but said they were very strong willed and this is what they wanted to wear, and I say good for them, I would encourage my child to be strong willed and if they feel that they want to wear a batman costume bc thats what they want, good for them!!! By no means saying yes to everything, but this won't hurt anyone, and if it makes them happy, why not!?!?!?!?

Sure, if my toddler wanted to be Batman for the day, I don't think I'd have a problem with it.

Re: Strange question about what your kids will wear
If my son were happy wearing a princess dress, and it meant that we could get out of the house quickly...he can wear whatever he wants. Hence all the Thomas and Lightning McQueen clothes that he already has.
Hey, on a wednesday morning, if a Lightning McQueen shirt gets him excited and in the car..so be it!!!

Re: Strange question about what your kids will wear
LOL, I think some days you just might not have a choice
My mom was watching ny neice the other day. She arrived decked out with a pink ballerina costume complete with tutu. My SIL sent over a dress just in case they were going to be leaving the house. However, once she was there for a little while, she took everything off except her diaper and refused to put anything on So some days I think you'll be lucky if they agree to wear the batman costume!!

Re: Strange question about what your kids will wear
I totally would allow my child to go out like that. I think it is cute. and that is the only time in there lives they can get away with stuff like that.
Imagine being our age and wanting to to go out in public in a ballerina costume, with a tu tu! Besides to a halloween party of course!

Re: Strange question about what your kids will wear
Depends on where we're going and why and if its appropriate for the weather.
On just a regular old day, why not?

Re: Strange question about what your kids will wear
I see an unusually large number of children in the 4 year old range wearing costumes on "regular" days. I think it is cute. I see it more in boys than girls though. I would allow DC to dress up except going to school or church.

I agree totally. I don't see the big deal at all.
Now if that's ALL he wants to wear, there's a bit of a problem
