Re: strange question- eye movement
nevermind. I found it online.
*It takes up to 4 months for babies to have complete control over both their eyes. Therefore, babies eyes are known to cross here and there before that point.

Re: strange question- eye movement
I swear, the eye movement thing is one of those things I was totally surprised about with a newborn. I read about 10 new baby books while pregnant, and I swear none of them mentioned how your baby's eyes will roll back into their head...and in the hospital when DD was a day old, I was very concerned...
I swear, why do they not tell us about that?
Sorry, just had to get that out

yeah... no one mentions all the newborn twitchiness either... i thought my son was having seizures and i was freaking.
but back to the original question the eyes can cross for the first few months, then they get straight.

Thank you!!!! You're right, they should warn us!
Every once in a while my sons eyes will cross and my husband freaks out. He thinks our kid will be crossed eyed forever. I keep trying to tell him that they don't have full control yet, but there was a definite small part of me concerned as well... even though i was reassuring him!
