strange things w/ the BRU registry
Ok, I guess this is what I get for registry peeking, but this is strange. A few weeks ago, I noticed an item listed as purchased. A few days later, it was back on my registry. So I figured whomever purchased it, returned it, I guess??? This happened again today - I noticed something as purchased, now back on the registry. Is this just a coincidence? I am just concerned that I'm going to get a million duplicates. So frustrating, I am so fed up w/ BRU as it is w/ their out of stock, "online only" cr*p, that this is just adding to it.

that happened to me twice. i think people returned an item because i didn't get doubles of them.
it's no big deal IMO.
i only got one duplicate out of all of my gifts and i think one person didn't give the registry paper to the cashier. i know the other person did. i think they did a great job with not having duplicates.

Thanks, I actually just called them and they said it most likely was returns b/c when a customer returns an item w/ the receipt, it automatically scans and puts it back on the registry. Weird how it happened twice, but they are claiming it could not be a glitch.

I am board crashing, but this happened to me when I purchased something from BRU. What happened to me, was that the order was cancelled therefore putting the item back on the registry...luckily I got to see it before someone else purchased the item so I could still get the gift I wanted! It could be that!

Interesting...so are you saying that they might have had to order the item b/c it was not in stock? One item I could see, it was a toy chest, but the other was a changing pad for the table, I would think they would have that in stock. Hmmmm......oh and thanks for crashing

It's funny you mention this. There was one item where I noticed this had happened, the infant car seat.
It was off my registry as purchased for a while and than one day it was back on my registry as if someone returned it, 2 days later it was off again and I got it at my shower. I honestly don't think it was purchased returned and re-purchased in a matter of 2 days than again anything is possible but it may be just a coincidence.

so, I think there are MAJOR issues with purchasing stuff online with BRU.... I suspect this may be the root of all the strange things you have noticed...
I wanted to buy a hat fro Crouton, and a few blankets. I tried to put them in my cart... but the cart remained empty.
So, I decided to put it on my registry. From the registry, I oddly could put the 3 items in my cart. HOWEVER, whenever I tried to plug in my coupon or other info while checking out, my cart was emptied, and all the stuff returned to the registry 
I actually had to call customer service and place the order via telephone in order to get my 3 items...
I seriously hate that store.... so $$ and mismanaged sometimes

I still am not 100% convinced the items were returned; I would not be shocked if it was an issue w/ their site.
