stroller/disney world question
at what age do you stop taking the stroller to disney world? i feel like so many kids must get exhausted and the stroller is a good option to sitll get around while they are tired/nap. but is the stroller only for like kids 5 and under?!?

Re: stroller/disney world question
We went to Disney last November with our three DC--8, 6.5, and 3. We only brought the stroller for the 3 yr old, but one day we actually rented one in the park for our 6 yr old, but she's pretty high-maintenance I would never have actually brought one with us for her at age 6 though...
We're going again in the winter and will be bringing one for the 4 yr old only.

Re: stroller/disney world question
We are going in a few weeks, DD is 6 and DS is 18 months. We rented a double stroller from Kingdom Strollers, I know without a doubt she won't be able to keep up all day and night. I like knowing she has a place to rest and relax. Disney is a ton of walking and she's still too little for all of that.

Hmm..I would say as large as they can fit. LOL. I would rent one, and whatever size they go to, thats what I would go by. Maybe 7 or 8?

Re: stroller/disney world question
I've seen some pretty big kids in strollers. I want to say they look 7-8 yo.
My 5yo stopped using a stroller but we will definitely take the double to Disney with us. He doesn't have much time left in the double city mini but we'll try to use it for another year or so until he physically can no longer fit.

This! LOL! Last time we went my boys were 4 and 2. It's a lot of walking. Heck, there were times I wish I could sit in the stroller. I think it's also to get around the park faster. Best part about having the stroller for them was at night when they were tired and falling asleep on the walk back. We go to Great Adventure and they are now 5 and 3. I bring the one stroller and my 3 yr old doesn't even like to sit in it. I just love it to hold the bags and snacks.

stroller/disney world question
When you go to Disney you will see big kids in strollers. I barely use my now and my DS is 2.5.
Even on trips and such we don't take it much anymore. If he needs to relax we take a break. And at a place like Disney he would be there all day from open to close so he wouldn't sleep with all the action going on.

This.
We are going soon and much to my DH's dismay, I'm bringing the double. DH will appreciate it when we are far from the exit and it's time to go since he likes to get out quickly.
ETA - I have an almost 5 and a 2 1/2 year old and we only use it otherwise for walks at this point.

Re: stroller/disney world question
In my opinion - that's one of those things that you don't give a flying eff about what's 'right' .........you do what's best for your kids and your sanity b/c you're on vacaton -
If your 8 year old is going to whine for 5 hours and be miserable in the park b/c they don't want to walk .......and they can fit in the stroller .......go for it - that is a general 'your' .......I have no clue how old your kids are -
I had my 3 & 5 year olds in a double stroller this past June
