Stroller question for moms of 2+
How necessary is it to have infant seat compatibility?
My DD will be 18 months when DS is born. My friend gave me her MacClaren Twin Traveller which does not hold an infant seat. How much does that matter? The ONLY stroller that will hold my infant seat (Chicco) is the Zooper Tango which is $400+. I'm just not sure if it's worth it.
Thanks!

Re: Stroller question for moms of 2+
For me, it was super important to be able to have the baby in the infant seat for ease and portability. I don't think I could have taken her in and out of it each time we had to go somewhere so she could go in the stroller. I ended up with the sit and stand and it worked out wonderfully for us, in fact we are still using it two years later (obviously without the infant seat now).
18 months is a tough age - only you can really tell whether a sit and stand could work, and they are only about $100, give or take. I refused to spend so much money on a double I wouldn't use very long.

Re: Stroller question for moms of 2+
I had a stroller that didn't take an infant seat for #2. I always did errands with Dh, so i would take the stroller frame and DD would go into the cart, or they both would go into the double-put that was more of a pain. Dh refuses to have a big bulky double stroller, so i have the chicco C5 double and it folds down so nice and compact.
My youngest was in a double side by side from about 3-4 weeks old without the carseat, i used a head thingy for her.
Mine are 14 months apart. And even now at 2 years old, my oldest isnt' quite there yet for a sit n stand, but i'm def looking to get one really soon cause she won't sit in the double now when we shop, only when we take walks.

Ditto here.
I just worked with what I had. The only double option with infant car seat that I had at the time was the duoglider and I refused to use that.

It was pretty important to me.... I ended up getting the duo glider travel system (w/one infant carrier) for maybe $225. I had a carrier for Nate that I could have used, but I really disliked it.

What about this one from one steap ahead. I'm pretty sure it is compatibale with most infant carriers? You could do the single with the sit and stand seat or the double with that converts to a sit and stand.

I do have a regular zooper stroller and it is great.
