stroller recommendations?
I have been thinking nonstop about which stroller to get. I am leaning towards the Bugaboo Cameleon because people seem to love Bugaboos. But I am worried that it will be so hard to fold up, so I started thinking about the Bugaboo Bee. Anyone have any stroller recommendations?

Re: stroller recommendations?
I have the chameleon and I'm not going to lie it is a bit of a pain to fold and unfold but the good news is you can purchase the car seat adapter for about 50 bucks or so. I have yet to get it but definitely plan on it soon.
Otherwise I absolutely LOVE my stroller, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Re: stroller recommendations?
I highly recommend the baby bargains book for stroller shopping
Frankly, a stroller is highly dependent upon a family's lifestyle. If you're a true suburbanite who envisions the stroller mainly going shopping, in and out of the car, and to other paved places, you will have very different needs than the average person who lives in the city and has to traverse bumpy sidewalks constantly and almost never uses a car. Also, you have to take into consideration whether you frequent parks, go jogging....
generally, I hear bugaboos are designed for metro folk, and are great for sidewalks, but not quite as great to put in the trunk. many strollers in BRU are for the suburban set, and have small front wheels that might get stuck in parks and large pavement cracks, but are light and fold-up in a snap.
If you're a jogger, you might want a jogging stroller. Keep in mind the front wheel is fixed, so it can't be used for an every day stroller too easily.
I highly recommend going to a shop that has all the stroller's you're interest in so you can test drive them. (we found a shop in brooklyn with an AMAZING selection of strollers to testdrive... baby central) Many will be much heavier than you think, and therefore nearly impossible to put in the car when you already are juggling baby and bags.
We're a hybrid of the metro and suburbanite folk... so we needed an all-terrain stroller (big wheels that traverse super bumpy port jeff sidewalks) that is reasonably light and narrow, so we can still put it in the trunk and traverse stores without getting stuck between racks. We chose the bumbleride indie.

Re: stroller recommendations?
just a tip i wish someone would have told me...if you plan on having another baby close in age you will eventually need a double stroller. i spent a lot of $$ on my stroller and now i'm pregnant with #2 and have to buy a double. i will probably sell my orginal one since it's less than 2 years old.
