studio apt question
we have a studio apt in our house....the previous owners had a 30" range and a standard sized side by side fridge down there....do you think we should downsize to apt size appliances..I'm guessing that it costs less to run smaller appliances

I wouldn't assume smaller applicances cost less to run.
Smaller applicances are usually "cheaper made" and may actually cost more to run since they may be less energy efficient.
I also wouldn't downsize any applicances without your landlord's specific approval (assuming you are renting).
If you own the house and are renting the apartment, I would stick with the standard size appliances if the kitchen layout is already designed to accomodate standard 30" appliances.

you're right....they prob do cost about the same to run...thank you!
we own the house, and we are redoing the studio....I just feel like the bigger appliances may be overpowering

Re: studio apt question
years ago when I was looking for apts, one turn off was apt sized appliances. I like to cook and entertain and those applainces just dont offer much room to store or cook.
JMO, if they already have the full sized applainces in and you need to replace them, keep the bigger sized ones
