stupid card question
So I picked up our holiday cards today and I feel like they're wrong. They say "with love from the Savino's" but I keep looking at it and I feel like there should be no apostrophe with our last name. Is it right or wrong?

Re: stupid card question
I think it is supposed to be Savinos. No apostrophe. I think the apostrophe shows possesion - like the Savino's house, or the Savino's car.
But I am definitely not an English teacher, so don't go by me!

See, that's what I said, but Dh swears it's supposed to be apostrophe. We've gotten one holiday card so far and it has an apostrophe too.

Re: stupid card question
I think a lot of people do it with an apostrophe even though the technically correct way is without. I'd just send them that way this year, and in the future, do it without.

I am very seriously considering ordering new ones. I absolutely hate grammatical errors.

It would totally bother me too, I understand.

Re: stupid card question
I always avoid this mistaky by saying "Camacho Family"
I think a lot of people do it so as not to confuse your last name as Savinos (with an s always at the end).
I would just send them out, no reason wasting money and I think it's acceptable either way. However, gramatically it should be no apostrophe.
